Offerings
The following offerings are for any and all interested and willing individuals—you do not have to be a member of A Touch of Moxy’s community in order to participate. If you are struggling with your pet grief and longing for connection, I hope you’ll consider joining us for at least one of these soul-stirring events. There needs to be a place for our grief, too.
Bimonthly Grief Vigil
A vigil invites you to enter kairos or “soul time,” where you slow down and practice being with your grief as well as with others’ grief. You bring your beloved pet, all the love and memories you have of them, into the sacred space with you. Together, we bear witness, honor, and tend to our collective losses within a compassionate, supportive atmosphere, keeping one another company in the wild, dark, often lonely terrain of grief.
Cost: This event is free and open to the public.
Facilitator: Kecianne Shick
Location: Online via Zoom
Date/time: Occurs bimonthly; check the calendar for upcoming dates.
Touching Grief Writing Practice
In the literary lineage of Julia Cameron and Natalie Goldberg, you’ll come together in a small group to practice writing as witnessing, responding to various pet- and grief-related prompts (e.g., poetry, music, somatic + imaginal exercises, etc.) in stream-of-consciousness style within a set time. Through bypassing your left-brain tendencies, you’re able to reach your “heart-mind” and gently touch your grief, allowing yourself the quietly powerful healing opportunity to witness and be witnessed exactly as you are. No holding back. No apologies.
Cost: $20/class
Facilitator: Kecianne Shick
Location: Online via Zoom
Date/time: Occurs weekly; check the calendar for upcoming dates.
Limited to eight (8) participants per session.
